One of the biggest artists in music is about to make an appearance on The View.

Chatter On Nurse Backlash On 'The View'

According to Friday's report from Broadway World, Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson is set to show up on the talk series on Monday, January 18. The site mentioned that Hudson is currently acting on stage in the Broadway musical revival The Color Purple.

There's a good chance that the actress might talk about performing on stage since this is her Broadway debut. Another thing the ladies at the table might mention is how Hudson feels about this being the final season of American Idol where the actress, herself, got her start.

Hudson was in the third season of the singing competition and was eliminated at a shocking seventh place. But this clearly didn't stop her from becoming one of the biggest names in the music industry.

She ended up playing Effie White in the musical turned movie Dreamgirls where she won her first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She also won a Golden Globe for the same performance.

Hudson's other acting credits include Sex and the City, The Secret Life of Bees and Fragments. While acting became one of her most notable features, singing seems to have always been her main trademark.

Hudson currently plays Shug Avery in The Color Purple.

The View airs on weekdays at 11am ET on ABC.
