While it doesn't look like a Friends reunion will be happening anytime soon, there's a good chance that a real one might happen in the future, according to actor David Schwimmer.

'Friends' Reunion Update: Are Jennifer Aniston And Courteney Cox Not Attending?

The Internet was on high alert this past week after it was reported that the entire cast of the popular NBC sitcom was coming together once again to help honor their director James Burrows in an upcoming special until Matthew Perry announced that he won't be there. Now, Schwimmer says that despite Perry's absence, there's a chance that his fellow co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlac, Lisa Kudrow along with Perry and himself might all find themselves under the same roof again.

According to Xpose on Sunday, Schwimmer admitted that he can't understand why everyone is calling the upcoming special a reunion when it has nothing to do with the show or the cast themselves.

He said, "I mean, in no way is it a 'Friends' reunion when one member is out of the country. But look, it's a great event. We all love James Burrows and I'm sure Matthew Perry would be there if he could, but he's working in London."

The Hollywood actor, who played Ross Gellar on the show for ten years, added, "Maybe one day there will be a reunion, but this will not be it."

As far as fans still watching the show one decade later, Schwimmer said, "I think it's lovely [the show is still popular]. I love that people are that into the show and I would love to see the six of us together and I'm sure one day we will be.''
