He was stunned when he got home from Australia and discovered his half-dressed fiancee asleep in their bed with his shirtless brother, and now, Liam (Scott Clifton) may be forced to admit to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) his real reasons for dumping her on The Bold and the Beautiful.

The two had been in the midst of a big misunderstanding about their relationship following Ivy's (Ashleigh Brewer) fall down the stairs at the Forrester Mansion, and Liam's accidental flight with her to Australia. However, the misunderstanding only grew when Liam found Steffy and Wyatt (Darin Brooks) together and assumed they had slept together. Since then he told Steffy he was ending their engagement and leaving Forrester--but didn't explain why.

Now, as he packs up his desk, Steffy will demand answers about why he's acting as though she betrayed him-and she will be shocked when he reveals why he thinks she did.

"You're looking at me as if I betrayed you," she says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, January 19 episode.

However, despite his obvious misunderstanding, she will maintain that they can work things out--even though he no longer wants to.

"I know it's not over for us," she says.

Meanwhile, Wyatt will notice that his brother seems to be ready to call it quits for good as well, and will confide the information to Quinn (Rena Sofer), in an effort to appease his mother who continues trying to push he and Steffy together.

"Not only is Liam leaving the company, but it sounds like he's distancing himself from Steffy," he says in the clip.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
