Mo Farah, a British athlete who won two Olympic medals, was asked by a US TV anchor whether he ran before. LaTonya Norton, an anchor for WDSU TV station in New Orleans, was interviewing Mo Farah this morning after he won the Rock 'n' Roll half-marathon in the city, when she asked, "Haven't you run before? This isn't your first time?"

The anchor obviously mistook Farah for an amateur runner when she asked the question on live television. Farah landed first place after running 13.1 miles in a record 61 minutes.

Farah is the Olympic track and field champion for both the 10,000 meters and 5,000 meters. The Somalian-born athlete won two gold medals at the 2012 London Olympics last summer, clocking in at 27:30.42 for the 10,000m and 13:41.66 for the 5,000.

He was named European Athlete of the Year in 2011 and 2012.

Farah is married to Tania Nell and the pair have two twin daughters together, Aisha and Amani. He has a daughter named Rihanna from another relationship. He is known for his signature pose, dubbed 'Mobot', as seen in the photo above.
