Sony Pictures and director March Webb released photos on Monday of the latest super hero suit used in the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The Spider-Man suit photo was also tweeted from a social media account associated with Marvel Comics that has also revealed new Iron Man 3 posters.

Additional new photos of 29-year-old Andrew Garfield in the red and blue spandex crime fighter suit were also released on Tuesday that appear to have been taken straight from the set of the film in New York City. Photos can be seen on Daily Mail.

The latest set pictures show a number of different angles of the costume that previously weren't available as the British actor is seen in a variety of stunts and poses.

Golden Globe nominated actress Shailene Woodley was also pictured on set with red hair for her character Mary Jane Watson who will return for the first time since the series was rebooted in 2012, according to E! News.

The new costume looks like it was designed in similar fashion to the one featured in the Ultimate Spider-Man comic series.

Zap2It also reported that it appears the suit may be made from a different material that resembles cloth and that the stylized spider on the chest of costume has a more classic design.

Garfield will once again reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man along with Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Sally Field (Aunt May) and Martin Sheen (Uncle Ben).

Garfield took over the character after Tobey Maguire's performance during the first three films in the previous series.

New cast members to the film also include Dane DeHaan (Harry Osborn), Jamie Foxx (Max Dillon/Electro), and Paul Giamatti (The Rhino).

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be one of next year's early blockbusters when it hits theaters on May 4, 2014.
