As a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Jeffrey Dean Morgan talked about the future of his character, Jason, in season 7 of The Good Wife.

Glee's Matthew Morrison Joins Cast For Season 7 

While the actor spoke about his new role as Negan on The Walking Dead he also addressed the question of what will become of his character in The Good Wife.

Morgan described his part on The Walking Dead as being the antithesis of what he plays on The Good Wife. "The real deal. He's a game changer and it's a complete 180 from what I'm doing on The Good Wife, which as an actor it's a dream come true. I get to be the biggest ass in the world. It's awesome," he said.

The actor didn't quite give anything away about Jason's fate on the CBS legal drama but revealed that even his mother was concerned about that:

"When I took the show, when I took The Walking Dead, she was like, 'What does this mean with The Good Wife?' She was devastated that it could be the end," Morgan said. "And I'm like, 'Mom, just keep your pants on.' [Laughs.] 'See what happens.'"

The latest episode, titled 'Tracks,' of The Good Wife aired on January 17 on CBS.
