Why Lady Gaga Was 'Miserable' Before 'American Horror Story'

Well, another source told Entertainment Weekly this week that the rumors are "not true." The concept for season 6 has reportedly already been devised, but it will not be announced to the public until March.

While that puts an end to the Slender Man rumor, it's possible that season 6 could focus on creepy, mythical folklore. But nothing has been confirmed by the show's producers that could lead fans in any direction regarding the concept.

As for concepts that the show could do in the future, there are still many subgenres of horror to possibly tackle. This includes a camp setting, a cult, a creepy ghost town, werewolves, zombies and aliens.

The show's producers have yet to reveal most of the cast, with Ryan Murphy only confirming Angela Bassett as returning for season 6.

"Tonight I started to tell all the actors who they were gonna play for next season 'cause I had too much drink," Murphy told E! News regarding the night of the Golden Globes. "So I told Angela Bassett and she was like 'what?!'"

He added, "I'm gonna regret it tomorrow, I think I said too much too soon. But yeah, we're a family. But tonight I did start to tell them what I'm thinking about and I'm excited about it."

American Horror Story season 6 premieres this fall on FX.
