Lucifer's out of his cage, the fate of the world is on the line, and the Winchesters are in way over their heads - have we stumbled back into season 5? The Apocalypse is nearly six years in the rearview, but those who appreciate the similarities will be pleased to hear that Bobby (Jim Beaver) and Rufus (Steven Williams) won't be the only ones reliving the past in episode 16.

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will soon stumble across a case the deceased had investigated five years prior, and while viewers will watch the two sets of hunters track the monster of the week in two different times, Dean may make an appearance in the flashbacks.

While the idea of seeing a distressed Apocalypse-era Dean is both exciting and heart wrenching, fans do not have to worry about one perfect man tear bringing the entire fandom to its knees. Beaver later explained that it was Ackles crying, not Dean.

"[It's] a really cool, scary, nostalgic episode," executive producer Jeremy carver teased, according to Entertainment Weekly.
