The jet ski operator who allegedly ran over and killed Usher Raymond's stepson in a Georgia lake last summer was arrested this morning, according to reports.

At the time of the accident, Usher whose real name is Usher Terry Raymond IV, 33, and ex-wife Tameka Foster, who divorced in 2009 after two years of marriage, were in the process of a bitter custody battle over their sons Usher Raymond V, four, and Naviyd, three.

But Usher's life dramatically changed in July 2012 when his 11-year-old stepson Kile Glover was ran over by a jet ski while on an inflatable raft near his Atlanta home.

Glover suffered severe brain injuries on July 6th when police believe Jeffrey Simon Hubbard's jet ski collided with him.

The teenager boy was with an unidentified 15-year-old girl at the time and both children were airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

TMZ reported that Hubbard was arrested for homicide on March 1.

Glover was pronounced brain dead and never regained consciousness. After being taken off life support by doctors who determined that he would never recover from his injuries, he passed away on July 21.

The District Attorney told TMZ that Hubbard was indicted on Feb. 28 by a Grand Jury in Hall County, Georgia for Homicide by Vessel, Serious Injury by Vessel, as well as Reckless Operation of a Vessel, and he is currently being held without bail. He will appear in front of a judge this weekend, who will decide whether or not he will be granted bail.

"I miss Kile," Usher told Oprah on Sept. 16. "Kile was a great part of my life, we cooked together, we laughed, we played, we sang, he loved to sing, he loved to tell jokes," Usher fondly remembered about his stepson.

Glover's death emerged an outpour of celebrities who took to Twitter to express their condolences.

Those included pop star Justin Bieber, who tweeted: "RIP Kile," and Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, who wrote: "I am sending every prayer I got to Tameka, Ryan, Usher and their family."
