Actor Michael Sheen recently revealed that he is going to voice a role in Finding Dory.

Empire reported that in a recent podcast, Doug Loves Movies, Sheen dropped this interested tidbit, without giving away anything about the nature of his part in the Finding Nemo sequel.

In other related news, recently it was revealed that two new characters are set to amp up the excitement in the sea expedition of Finding Dory.

These characters will be Dory's friends. One of these aquatic creatures, Bailey, will be voiced by Modern Family's Ty Burrell, and the other, Destiny, will be portrayed by Kaitlin Olsen of It's Always Funny in Philadelphia fame.

Olsen and Burrell also spoke to Entertainment Weekly about playing the characters, who will essentially be a team

"My character isn't great at his own sonar capability, and Destiny has trouble swimming straight," Burrell said.

"We would just play off each other," Olson said. "Though to be honest, I was probably the boss of the entire situation, because I always like to be."

Previously DeGenres dished about the movie being a conscientious take for sea life.

In an interview with Yahoo! at the unveiling of the first look at Finding Dory at the D23 Exposition at Anaheim, DeGeneres revealed that the sequel to Finding Nemo will deliver an important message.

DeGeneres hinted at how the the movie will promote the idea of fish being free in their natural habitat over captivity of any form--like in aquariums.

"I think that fish should be in the ocean," she said. "It's what this whole sequel is about: It's about rehabilitation and putting them back in the ocean... And we have to protect our oceans. Hopefully that discussion starts with this film, because we really need to protect that environment."

Finding Dory will open in theaters on June 17, 2016.
