Britney Spears' younger sister, Jamie-Lynn Spears, is officially engaged.

The former Nickelodeon star announced the news on Instagram on March 2 that she is engaged to Jamie Watson. She posted a photo of herself smiling while held in an embrace with Watson and in the picture she held her left hand up to show off the ring.

"Guesssss what??????" she wrote on Instagram followed by "#Hedidgood" as she captioned the photo of the ring solo.

Watson, 30, told the New York Post in January he had been dating Jamie-Lynn, 21, on and off for three years. It will be the first marriage for Jamie-Lynn. She was previously engaged to Casey Aldridge, the father of her 4-year-old daughter Maddie.

Jamie-Lynn splits her time between Nashville, Tenn., where she is working on new music, and Kentwood, La., where her daughter attends school.

"Maddie goes to school in the Kentwood area, so Jamie Lynn tries to be in Louisiana most of the time," Watson told the Post. 

Jamie-Lynn's engagement news comes two months after her older sister Britney ended her own year-long engagement to Jason Trawick, TMZ reported on Jan. 11. The news came a day after it was announced that Spears quit The X Factor after just one season of being on the show.
