On Monday, just a short time after her latest photo was shared on Instagram, Katie was hospitalized in Los Angeles, where she remains in critical condition.

"[Katie] recently complained of neck pain and sought treatment," TMZ reported on Thursday, adding that the "catastrophic" stroke was caused by a "blockage in her carotid artery."

Although there have been many online rumors, claiming Katie has died, that doesn't appear to be the case. However, the prognosis for Katie, who is often referred to as the "Queen of Snapchat," is said to be "grim."

On Monday, Katie shared the following photo with fans, along with the caption, "Hope everyone is having a great Monday! It's very windy here today in LA."

In addition to modeling for Playboy, Katie has been featured in Sports Illustrated and has nearly 2 million followers on Instagram.

Last month, Katie was featured by The Huffington Post, where she opened up about her struggles as a single mother.

"My life has been an incredible journey thus far with a lot of curve balls and lessons along the way. I would have to say the most valuable would have to be as a single mother," Katie wrote to readers.

According to TMZ, a Go Fund me account has been set up for Katie's 7-year-old daughter.
