She has been fading in and out of consciousness since taking a fall down the stairs into Elizabeth's (Rebecca Herbst) basement, but Sam's (Kelly Monaco) condition is only about to get worse on General Hospital.

Hayden Scrambles To Cover Her Real Identity

She woke up after the initial fall and realized she had a concussion and couldn't call for help because her phone was broken, causing her to seek out a heater in the basement. However, after she fell back asleep, the heater began to shower sparks from a frayed cord on top of an oil pan--and now, the threat of a fire is very real as she wakes up and realizes the danger she is in.

However, no one even knows she's in the basement yet because the only person who saw her there was Elizabeth's son, Jake (James Nigborn), who thought he killed her and ran away. He was then hit by a car, and is undergoing surgery to stop internal bleeding--and was unable to tell either Elizabeth or Jason (Billy Miller) that Sam was in the house. And unfortunately for her, neither one is going to be asking about her anytime soon anyway, because the concerned parents are about to receive news about their son's own condition--and there could be problems with helping him as well.
