They've been separated a few different times already on The Walking Dead and always found their way back to one another, but even though Maggie (Lauren Cohan) will learn her husband Glenn (Steven Yuen) is alive on the show's newest episodes, it doesn't mean that their reunion will be as happy as expected.

Was Carol Almost Killed Off In Season 3?

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cohan dished on the moment fans will see the couple reunite following the uncertainty over whether or not Glenn was actually still alive or not--and unfortunately, while physically seeing one another again will be a happy moment for them, the fact that they are literally still separated by a sea of walkers won't make for the most promising of romantic reunions.

"We have put the couple through the ringer in terms of separating, then promising they'll never leave each other's sight again, and now they're in the ultimate separation over this sea of walkers," Cohan said.

And that means that the fact their other loved ones could die around them will put a bit of a damper on the couple's getting to see each other gain for the first time after Glenn went missing.

"The reunion is going to be somewhat overshadowed by a lot of other darkness," she said. "I think I can say that much. Because they have found each other and just in time to sort of help everybody else in this huge battle that's continuing. They're completely underwater right now. We've had both of them at the absolute cliff edge of danger and death."

The Walking Dead season 6 returns Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
