Audrey Hepburn might be one of the most sought out persona in the film industry in her prime, but before she grabbed such opportunity as becoming a popular and talented actress, little did you know that she made a screen test in order to land in big roles (just like all aspiring actors).

Hepburn had been a dancer before she gave film a whirl. After she’d mastered the art of dance and realized that she was a natural performer, she decided that it was time to make the transition.

Her screen test for Roman Holiday was the reason her career skyrocketted to stardom. All she did was walk over to a chair, sit down, and speak to a man offscreen.

According to LittleThings.com, after Hepburn had been casted for the part, the costuming team got to work on perfecting her look for the film. As if she didn’t look stunning already in her street wear, she later spins in circles in billowing royal ball gowns that the costume team have created just to confirm that she was made to be a star.

Furthermore, the film came out in 1953 and won Academy Awards for its screenplay and costume design. Hepburn also won an Academy Award for best actress.
