He was killed by Bo Brady after he tried to imitate the Necktie Killer and kill Hope (Kristian Alfonso), but the disgraced Aiden Jennings (Daniel Cosgrove) will be making a return to Salem on Days of Our Lives.

After romancing Hope, Aiden was revealed to be in severe gambling debts-and owed a massive one to the DiMeras, who ordered him to kill Hope with the aim of obtaining her substantial life insurance policy. Aiden's attempt at doing so however was thwarted when Bo suddenly came back, successfully fought him off Hope, and shot him.

However, according to the Inquisitr, despite his character's death, Cosgrove is reportedly headed back to the show for a lengthy enough stay to suggest he isn't simply coming back in spirit or ghost form, which would bring an interesting new dynamic to the soap. While bringing back characters who are dead or believed to be is nothing new for the series, a storyline that involves Aiden, whose only remaining ties to Salem are through his son, Chase (Jonathon McClendon), would need to be woven in the right way so it makes sense.

While a storyline about Chase could very well be the one that brings him back to life and town, as the teen continues to grapple with growing up under the stigma of a father who attempted to commit a murder. However, another storyline could involve the very family which led to his death-the DiMeras.

Aiden owed his debt to Stefano-who has also since been killed-and Andre (Thaao Penghlis), who has sworn revenge on Hope, who he knows is responsible for his father's own murder. In an attempt to mess with Hope, Andre could find some way to bring Aiden back to life (something the DiMeras are known to do well), and condition him to become an assassin trained to take down the woman he considers to be a great enemy.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
