Who Is Joining Rick On A Road Trip To Los Angeles On 'Castle'?

ABC has released a sneak peek of the upcoming midseason premiere, which is titled "Tone Death". The scene features Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) post-sex and reveling in the afterglow.

"Who would've thought that secret dating would be so productive!" Beckett exclaims.

I know, our public fights have made our private time so much more-" Castle begins, to which Beckett finishes, "Intense!"

But when the subject goes to Castle helping Beckett in the LokSat case, she becomes a little more guarded.

"Look, Rick, I'm done playing lone wolf and I promise you when the time is right I will loop you in on everything LokSat," she promises.

While Castle protests that "I could be your secret weapon in taking LokSat," Beckett reaffirms her position.

"When it's time, you and I will take down LokSat together," she says. "Meanwhile, I will be sneaking in and out of the building next door to get here."

It is currently unknown as to when Beckett will feel comfortable enough to invite Castle into the fold to help her in the all-important case.

Castle returns for the second half of season 8 tonight at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
