Jodie Sweetin Acknowledges Rumor She'll Be On The Next 'Dancing With the Stars'

Moceanu, 34, rose to fame as one of the "Magnificent Seven", a.k.a. the 1996 U.S. Women's Gymnastic team, who won the Gold medal at the Olympics. The gymnast also wrote a memoir called Off Balance, which became a New York Times bestseller.

Now the gymnast is hoping to tackle a whole new challenge by potentially participating in Dancing With the Stars. She has tweeted lately about wanting to be on the show, asking fans if they would like to see her compete.

Does Alek Skarlatos Still Harbor Feelings For 'Dancing With the Stars' Pro Emma Slater?

Olympians of all kinds have done very well on Dancing With the Stars. Gymnast Shawn Johnson, speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno, figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi and ice dancer Meryl Davis have all won Dancing With the Stars in the past. So it stands to reason that Moceanu might excel in the competition, but it doesn't guarantee success. After all, track and field star and Olympic athlete Lolo Jones competed in season 19 and flamed out, becoming the first celebrity eliminated that season.

The cast of Dancing With the Stars won't be announced until a few weeks before the premiere in late March.

Dancing With the Stars season 22 premieres on Monday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
