Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) might become involved in some sort of Saw situation in an upcoming episode of ABC's Castle.

How Will Rick Involve Himself With The Russians On 'Castle'?

ABC has released a new plot synopsis for episode 12 of the show's current season. The episode is titled "The Blame Game" and has what sounds like a horrifying premise.

The synopsis reads as follows:

Would 'Castle' Really Continue Without Its Main Characters?

"Castle is abducted and forced to solve deranged puzzles and mind games with strangers; Beckett [Stana Katic] and the 12th precinct race to save Castle."

This certainly brings to mind the concept of the Saw franchise. In those movies, strangers are captured and forced to get out of deadly scenarios, for the entertainment of the villainous Jigsaw.

Regardless, it should be interesting to see Castle as the one in danger, with Beckett and the team attempting to save him.

The next episode of Castle is titled "Witness for the Prosecution" and centers on a similarly fast paced premise:

"Castle finally gets his day in court when he takes the stand as the key witness to a murder from five months ago. But when new information suddenly arises, he and Beckett must race against the clock to prevent a miscarriage of justice."

This episode will air on a special night, Sunday, Feb. 14. This is because ABC delayed the midseason premiere from Monday, Feb. 1 to Monday, Feb. 8 to make room for another episode of The Bachelor Live. Another new episode of Castle will air the following day on Monday, Feb. 15.

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
