Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler is getting constitutional. On Tuesday, Hawaii's Senate passed the Steven Tyler Act, which protects celebrities from unwanted photos by making it a civil violation if people take photos or videos during private moments.

Tyler had asked Sen. Kalani English to sponsor the bill after photos taken of him and his girlfriend were displayed in a national magazine while he was in Hawaii last December.

Tyler owns a home in Maui, which is in English's district. Only two of the 25 Senate members opposed the bill, one of whom being Sen. Sam Slom.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, Sen. Sam Slom said the bill violates First Amendment rights. Slom jokingly said of Tyler, "My final remarks to Steven Tyler as he sang so eloquently are, 'Dream on, dream on,'"

However, according to ABC News, several national media organizations submitted testimony to oppose the bill such as The National Press Photographers Association and the Society of Professional Journalists.

Celebrities like Britney Spears, Mick Fleetwood and the Osbourne family support the bill.
