Debbie Wanner is one of the more quirky individuals participating in the upcoming season of Survivor but can she go the distance anyway?

Will Joseph del Campo Defeat His Much Younger Competitors On 'Survivor'?

Debbie is one of 18 new castaways competing in Survivor: Kaoh Rong - Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty. As a chemist and a renaissance woman, Debbie is on the Brains tribe, which is made up of similarly intelligent people.

While many players on this season of Survivor can say they've experienced a lot in their lives, Debbie perhaps tops them all. In addition to being a chemist, Debbie says in her CBS introduction video that she is a captain in the United States Air Force auxiliary and has worked as a bomb neutralizer.

The New Season Of 'Survivor' Looks Like It'll Be Brutal From The Start

Debbie says in her CBS bio that she has plenty of experience with survival aspects that are sure to come up on the show.

"I have military training in summer and winter survival, shelter building, fire making, food procurement, torture training and a superior will to survive," she says. "Plus, I'm fun too! I'm a card carrying member of the Reading Juggler's club, so I'll teach them how to juggle."

She also compares herself to one of the most wicked villains in film history:

"Like Hannibal Lecter, I have good manners and am pleasant company. However, that doesn't mean I won't scramble your brains. One million dollars means freedom, which is priceless to me," she says. "I'll give up, let go, surrender - when I'm dead!"
