He has been secretly monitoring Hope's home so he could eventually get her confession to murdering Stefano on tape--but as she talked about it with Rafe (Galen Gerig) when she discovered Bo's gun (the one she used) was missing, the audio on his surveillance equipment malfunctioned. However, he also noticed Chase (Jonathan McClendon) at the top of the stairs--and realized he had the key to his plan.

Chase has been getting increasingly more dangerous, as he continues to struggle with not only losing his dad, but also his unrequited feelings for Ciara (Vivian Jovani). He and Ciara aren't even on speaking terms currently due to his bullying Theo (Kyle Pettis), and he is having issues because of it. Now, the lost and confused kid will find himself being Andre's target: to be the machine that causes destruction in Hope's life.

In his efforts to get revenge on Hope, Andre will seek Chase out and befriend him--taking the confused, heartbroken and increasingly more agitated teen under his wing and conditioning him to get revenge on his own for the pain that has been inflicted on his own life.
