So what's the deal with the Kardashian scenes in the latest episode of FX's American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson?

How To Watch 'American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson' Without A TV

Episode 2 of The People v. O.J. Simpson aired last night and featured a rather divisive scene with the Kardashian children.

This may not have been entirely true to life, but showrunners Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski spoke with Vulture recently about the purpose of including the Kardashians.

Cuba Gooding, Jr. Admits He Was Initially 'Wrong' About O.J. Simpson

"Yes, he did take his kids out to Chin Chin for Father's Day on the Sunday after the Bronco chase. That is all true. We know that Robert Kardashian was not a man who sought the limelight," Alexander said. "We do know that Shapiro pushed him in front of the TV cameras to read the suicide note that day, which was not something he was comfortable with. And we do know, hilariously, that the reporters afterwards said, 'What's your name? How do you spell it?' It's an unusual Armenian name, and he had to spell it out for them. We assume his four kids are all watching TV. They're going to see their dad on TV and they're going to be excited, like any kids would be."

Karaszewski added that the Kardashian kids are only in about five minutes total of the 10 episodes, so don't expect many more moments like this.

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on FX.
