Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) and Lydia (Holland Martin) have been on 'shippers' whish lists since day 1, and while the pair are still romantically unattached, "Lie Ability" saw the banshee and the comic relief brought them closer together than ever. The Sheriff's son would brave hell and high water for Lydia, and now she knows it.

That being said, Jeff Davis is ready to take the friends off the slow burner.

"This episode starts two characters down a path that's been building for years," the series creator told TV Line.

Does this mean Sydia is in the cards, or will the duo's partnership stay platonic. Davis words are certainly a reason for hope for the 'shipers of the world, but it by no means indicates that a romance is set in stone.

Currently, the two are a little busy dealing with the Beast. Now that Lydia is back on her feet, she will have a very important role to play as season 5B comes to a close.

"I definitely think that she plays a pinnacle role in helping save the town, if not one of THE leading roles," Roden said, according to Entertainment Weekly.
