Kanye West landed at no. 7 on MTV's "Hottest MCs in the Game VIII" list on Monday and was so disappointed with the ranking that he partly blamed his relationship with his pregnant girlfriend Kim Kardashian.

MTV has released a partial list of their Hottest MCs in the Game VIII everyday this week. During a radio interview with New York's Hot 97 station on Tuesday, the Watch The Throne rapper was asked by th show's co-host DJ Enuff how he felt about his ranking and West said he was very disappointed.

"Yeah, number seven bothers me," West told DJ Enuff. "I feel like for them to put me at number seven, they had to bring up things they didn't like," West said referring MTV's Hip-Hop Brain Trust, the committee that submitted their votes that were tallied.

West said he believes that his ranking was not based on his "body of work." After the success of his last studio effort, his group G.O.O.D. Music's Cruel Summer-which went double platinum in album sales after the release of the singles, Cold and Clique -the Chicago rapper said he believes that his ranking was based on his "overall rap MC swag."

West said he was ranked lower on the list than he should have because of his current romantic relationship and his love for high-fashion brands such as Givenchy.

"What happens with these type of judges and the people that review it, when I come in and I have the pink Polo and the backpack, then I'm checking all the boxes of that A Tribe Called Quest era and J Dilla all that, so they want to champion it," said West. "They don't like Givenchy Kanye. They don't like Kanye in a kilt, they don't like Kanye in a relationship," he said about his 11-month relationship with Kardashian.

"Really, I didn't really want to call and talk about the No. 7 list," West added before hanging up on the interview in a huff.

West announced the news that Kardashian was having their first child during his concert in Atlantic City, N.J., on Dec. 30.

Big Sean was ranked that same day at no. 6, Canadian rapper Drake landed at no. 5 and today MTV announced that 90s rapper Nas landed at no. 4. MTV will announce the no. 1 MC on Thursday, March 7 at 10pm on MTV Jams.
