But he does not list this as his biggest claim to fame in his CBS bio. Instead, he lists, "Defending my country in war and bringing my troops home safely to their families."

Caleb believes his military experience will give him a leg up on some of his competitors.

"I am an ex-military man and very well trained in survival. I'm a tough competitor and can make fire out of nothing, build shelter, create insulation, help catch and kill food. I'm the die-hard outdoors man that can and will survive!" he says.

As for why he will win Survivor, Caleb he reinforces his military experience, suggesting that being in a war zone for almost a year can allow him to survive the game.

"I have the skills it takes to get through the tough situations of little to no water, or little to no food and I make things happen," he notes. "If I made it through a war zone for 11 months, I can make it through a jungle for 39 days!"
