Singer Morrissey is in a feud with David Bowie over a new album cover.

It started in February after Morrissey planned to use an unpublished photo of them as the cover image for his upcoming reissue of The Last of the Famous International Playboys single from 1989, according to Pitchfork. The photo was supposedly taken in 1992 and remained out of the public eye until now.

Bowie responded with a demand to Morrissey's label EMI UK not to use the photo. The 53-year-old former front man for The Smiths responded by replacing Bowie's image with that of singer Rick Astely.

The replacement prompted The Huffington Post to note that Morrissey was "Rickrolling" Bowie, referring to a popular internet meme. It is unclear why 66-year-old singer did not want the picture to be released, but the order sparked a feud with Morrissey.

Bowie has yet to respond to Morrissey's action and is currently busy promoting his first album in 10 years The Next Day, according to NBC News. The new album features the track The Stars (Are Out Tonight) and its music video features Oscar-winning actress Tilda Swinton, who plays the role of Bowie's suburban wife.

Morrissey's feud with Bowie is only one of many the British singer and activist was involved in recenlty. He got in a disagreement with Jimmy Kimmel after the talk show host had members of the A&E show Duck Dynasty as guests on the ABC late night program. The animal right's activist missed his appearance because he could not share the stage with people he considered to be "animal serial killers."

He also bashed Beyonce for her bag made of animal skin as well as Sir Paul McCartney for his close relationship with the British royal family, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The reissue of The Last of the Famous International Playboys is set to be released on April 8.
