Fans had to scrape their jaws up off the floor when Jay (Teddy Sears) revealed that his Earth-1 doppelganger bears the same name as Zoom's comic book alter ego, and we now know that the big reveal wasn't just a throw away moment.

"I'd be pretty confident that you'll see Hunter Zolomon again," executive producer Aaron Helbing told IGN.

While the theory that Zolomon is Zoom is a rather attractive one, it seems rather unlikely. Zoom was causing mayhem on Earth-2 long before the breaches opened. That, however, does not mean Hunter won't become a lynchpin as season 2 progresses.

In fact, the other Jay may even come in contact with Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker).

"I can't really say, to be honest," Panabaker told IGN when asked about Zolomon's future. "I think for comic book fans that name means something. Nothing on our show is really done on accident. Our producers and writers are really smart about their plans and where they have things going."
