Overall, heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women. Hispanic and African-American women who focus on seven health factors can improve their overall cardiovascular health and reduce their chances of heart disease and stroke.

It was a star-studded Thursday evening in New York, and it was all for a great cause — The American Heart Association's annual Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection fashion show. This year's campaigne features Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, Fran Drescher & other stars at Go Red for Women New York Fashion Week.

At the end of the night, thousands of dollars were raised to help fight heart disease. While we hope the event will be unnecessary one day, for now, it was a beautiful reminder of the power of people coming together to help a worthwhile cause.
