For only the eighth time in Grammy history, a Broadway show has taken the stage to perform during the annual music awards show. And of course it was from the current theatre phenomenon Hamilton.

The cast, along with creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda, of the musical retelling of the founding father's life stole the night (at least for fans of musical theatre) with a performance of the show's opening number. Of course, the actors actually weren't actually AT the Grammys but performed via satellite from their home at New York's Richard Rodgers Theatre. They do have a show to put on tomorrow.

Hamilton mixes elements of musicals, hip-hop, and other forms of americana to bring to life the story of America's first secretary of the treasury and one the more unique founding fathers.

Check out the performance for yourself.
