Lucifer is currently piloting Castiel's vessel, but Supernatural's rebel angel may have more control than we think.

'Supernatural' Cast To Launch Crisis Hotline; Misha Collins, Jensen Ackles Debut 'You Are Not Alone'

As if he hadn't learned from Sam's (Jared Padalecki) apocalyptic nightmare, Cas (Misha Collins) allowed the Prince of Darkness to possess him in an effort to take down the Darkness. While Luci is clearly running the show, the Winchester's wingman may have an out. Sam once ousted Gadreel, and Cas could potentially use the same method on the archangel.

"He probably could. If he were properly convinced, he probably could expel him," Collins said at Creation Entertainment's Salute to Supernatural in Houston. "Sam did it. I think it's possibly. I don't think that is off the table. We've seen a precedent for that in the past."

Unlike Sam, however, Cas wouldn't have Crowley's (Mark Sheppard) help. The former King of Hell went MIA following Lucifer's release, and judging by the preview for "Vessel," the limey isn't doing so well. Not to mention the fact that the Devil is a hell of a lot more powerful than Gadreel.
