In the April issue of Marie Claire, acress Olivia Wilde opened up about her divorce and credited the heartbreak to bringing her to her fiancé, actor Jason Sudeikis. She also opened up about not feeling "beautiful enough" for him.

Wilde, 29, got divorced in 2011 from Tao Ruspoli. According to People, Wilde said she has grown up with Ruspoli and didn't want to "quit" their marriage, but that it was too hard to hold on.

"I hung on for as long as possible, until it was more hurtful to stay ... I'm so grateful for the pain and the heartbreak. It gave me the courage to leave and brought me the great love of my life," she said.

The actress also opened up to April's edition about worrying she wasn't "beautiful enough" to date Sudeikis the first time they met.

"I thought, He won't be interested in me; I'm not a contender. He was so cool, so funny - I was such a fan of his and had always fancied his speed and his intelligence. He's a brilliant actor with a brain like lightning," she said.

"I felt like fresh meat at the market ... I thought, I'm not beautiful enough or his type. I couldn't wait to sit down and hear him talk. On our first date, in New York City, we closed the restaurant down at 2 a.m.! He didn't kiss me, and I was madly in love. I was overwhelmed," she added.

Wilde also said she's open minded to how many kids she'd like to have, but mentioned three. Though she added she isn't trying to get pregnant at the moment, she said she doesn't have a strict life plan.

She said of Sudeikis, 37, "He's so good with kids ... I've never before experienced looking at someone and thinking, 'That's who I want to raise a child with.'"

Wilde and Sudeikis met on the set of the 2011 Saturday Night Live finale. Wilde is also in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, which was released March 8. The movie also stars Steve Carell and Jim Carrey.
