She tends to shy away from too many direct questions about her current relationship with Blake Shelton, but Gwen Stefani couldn't hide from the probing questions after stopping by Ellen DeGeneres for a visit to discuss her live commercial during the Grammys and her upcoming new album.

How Did Miranda Lambert & Anderson East Meet?

The talk show host discussed the commercial with Stefani and after bringing the conversation around to Stefani's album, quickly switched gears to talk about her romance with Shelton, which was confirmed in November, a few months after both announced their divorces from respective former spouses Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert.

And though she played coy about their actual romance, she was more than happy to open up after DeGeneres asked her about how he popped the question.

"So when he popped the big question...about you being his mentor, how did he do that?" DeGeneres deadpanned.

"Did you rehearse that before?" Stefani asked.

"Yeah," DeGeneres admitted.

After combating a round of giggles, Stefani then answered the question, admitting that being a part of The Voice matters to her, so serving as her beau's mentor on the new season made since.

"I want to be on that show as much as possible," she said. "That show...I got so much out of it."

"You did!" DeGeneres joked. "Like when you say you got so much out of it, what do you mean?"

"The show is like...I just come on and giggle and laugh," Stefani said. "It's so embarrassing!"
