Kate Middleton and Prince William might be one of the most popular royal couples in the world right now, but it looks like they are about to get quite the backlash. There's a new report stating that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are perhaps the "laziest couple in royal history" as they have done very little compared to their predecessors.

Kate Middleton 'Disgusted' With Sarah Ferguson? 

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry on Thursday, many critics have noticed that the Duke and Duchess have minimized their royal obligations as they prefer to stay home with their two children rather than work with their assigned charities from the Queen. To make things worse, Prince William has had only two official appointments on his calendar this year.

And if that weren't enough, his wife Kate hasn't done much either other than a quick guest editor post for the Huffington Post UK. In fact, the Duchess has done very little since coming back on the scene after a four-month maternity leave following the birth of her daughter Princess Charlotte in May of last year.

Duchess Catherine News: Critics Say Kate Middleton's Diet Is Taking A Toll On Her Looks     

Blogger Grace Gerard writes, "Did Queen Elizabeth give the future King and Queen a pass in 2015 because Princess Kate was pregnant with Princess Charlotte? If that's the case, isn't it time for the Cambridge's to pick up the pace and get back to work?"
