Murphy broke his silence amid speculation that he and Big Ang were not on good terms when she died.

He started by showing love for fans who, he said, know "the truth about me and my wife and how much I loved her.”

His statement comes after Big Ang said they were estranged last month. She told Radar Online, “We are separated right now. Me and Neil separated about a month and a half ago. I just felt like Neil just doesn’t do the right thing and I don’t need to be with somebody who doesn’t support me and I don’t need him. And I just think that it’s done. I lost it. You just lose it.”

She added that he wasn’t willing to give up hope that they were going their separate ways. But she did say she didn’t want to divorce him officially. “I just want to stay separated.”

She said that she planned to use their time apart to enjoy a little me-time. “I think it’s time to focus on myself. I’m always focusing on Neil, taking care of my grandchildren, taking care of my kids—I think it’s time to take care of Angela.” She passed away on Feb. 18 after her losing her fight to lung cancer. She was 55. Murphy honored her on Twitter just after news hit that she didn’t make it.

Her family also tweeted from her page that there was "nothing estranged” between Big Ang and Murphy.

“He was right by her side.”

Big Ang’s co-star Karen Gravano also echoed similar sentiments.
