The arrival of the Darkness has cleared the way for the Almighty's return, and when/if he arrives, Sam might have to rework any preconceived notions he has about the man upstairs.

Padalecki fielded fan questions at Creation Entertainment's Nashville Salute to Supernatural, and when asked how Sammy will react to God's potential return, the actor had this to say:

'Supernatural' Season 11: Will The Real Samulet Resurface [POLL]? Dean's Necklace Sparks Debate

"What an awesome question. Watch the rest of the season."

Spoilers? Considering TV Line already announced Chuck's episode 20 return, fans shouldn't be that surprised. Padalecki, however, was quick to explain that his comment isn't necessarily predicated on the potential deity's arrival. .

"I'll say this - I think Sam is in a constant struggle with what he dreams about and what he wants, and what's funny is that I'm kind of in the same [position] as Jared. But you have your ideals, you have what you want and what you hope for, and you try to marry that to what actually happens," Padalecki explained. "They don't always link up and you have to figure out how to work them together. Some people call it faith, some people hope, but we see Sam struggle with faith and hope and kind off marry that with reality. I think your going to like the rest of season 11."
