Beyonce will appear on the cover of SHAPE magazine's April 2013 issue and she revealed the secrets of how she lost the 57 pounds she gained during her pregnancy.

Beyonce reportedly said she wanted to share her fitness tips with her fans because she "wanted to make every woman out there feel like they, too, could achieve what she did" SHAPE's Editor-In-Chief Tara Kraft said.

In a behind-the-scenes video of Beyonce's SHAPE magazine cover shoot, which is no longer available, she admitted that a show she was scheduled to perform three months after giving birth to her first child, her daughter, Blue Ivy, 1, inspired her to lose the weight as quickly as possible.

"I gained 57 pounds when I was pregnant. I didn't have a lot of time to lose the weight, because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again," Beyonce said in the short video clip.

The Halo singer admitted that she works extra hard to be physically fit because she does not have a lithe frame.

"I'm not a person that is naturally very thin. I am a person that has to work at keeping my body in shape."

She also shared that she incorporates dance moves into her workout regimen to keep her body concert-ready.

Beyoncé gave advice to others that are looking to lose weight - do not compare yourself to other people.

"Not everyone is supposed to be the same. Be healthy and take care of yourself, but be happy with the beautiful things that make you, you."
