In an interview with Israel's Channel 2 that aired Thursday night, President Barack Obama admitted he often dreams about blending it with those around him.

He even said he would put on a disguise to go out unrecognized, stating: "Sometimes I have this fantasy, that I can put on a disguise, wear a fake mustache and I could wander through Tel Aviv and go to a bar and have a conversation, or go down to a university and meet with some students in a setting where it wasn't as formal."

The interview was conducted prior to Obama's scheduled trip to Israel next week, according to ABC News. He said he would love to sit at a café as a regular tourist and "hang out" and that as senator, he'd had the option of wandering through the old city in Jerusalem.

"That option becomes a lot trickier once you're actually president," said Obama in the video.

He enjoys the spontaneous interactions he'd had while in Israel but said being president prevents him from doing so now.

This is not the first time Obama suggested a mustache look. At a fundraiser in June, he joked that he had tried on a fake mustache early into his presidency to try to convince the Secret Service to let him walk through Central Park on his own.
