'Captain America: Civil War' Trailer: Find Out Why Hawkeye Will Choose Team Cap, Jeremy Renner Speaks Out
When the Avengers take sides for Captain America: Civil War, Hawkeye's choice will be staggeringly easy.
The bowman will land on Team Cap, but no form of idealism will go into his big decision. When it boils down to it, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) will find himself opposite Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.) simply because Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) will pick up the phone first.
"Cap was the first guy who called," Renner informed USA Today.
Barton has a family, and the archer will want to get back to the farm as soon as possible. Apparently, he thinks siding with Cap will get him home quicker than signing the Sokovia Accords.
"Barton is a pretty brass tacks kind of guy. Kinda get the job done so I can go home," Renner told IGN. "So I don't think it's very difficult for him to decide."
As weird as it will be to see The Star-Spangled Avenger facing off against Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson), it will be even stranger to see Hawkeye and the assassin on opposite sides.
