Is Kate Middleton trying to ease her loneliness by spending all of her time shopping? That's what fans can't help but wonder as a new report suggests the Duchess is spending a whole lot of money and the Queen is none too happy about it.

According to OK! Magazine on Wednesday, Queen Elizabeth is looking to tighten Kate's purse strings as she's been accused of spending taxpayer money on frivolous items and wasteful trips, like a $5,000 helicopter ride from London to her home in Norfolk. Queen Elizabeth made the same trip by train with a $70 ticket.

But unfortunately for the palace, the Duchess is just not listening.

What's more, Prince William's wife recently spent a whopping $4,200 on a shopping spree at a Lululemon store in London and even sported a $500 workout ensemble during a public appearance last month.

The site even said that Buckingham Palace workers have even threatened to go on strike after word got out that their salaries are going to be cut by $5,000.

Of course, a rep for the palace has not made any comments about the rumors just yet, but that hasn't stopped critics from slamming the Duchess for being so careless with her money.
