Teen worker, Luis Camarillo, was crushed to death by a recycling truck in Brooklyn on March 16.

Camarillo, 18, from the Bronx, was working near the back of the truck when he was hit in the chest and crushed by the hydraulics system, reports the New York Post.

Tony Lima, who worked nearby the accident, told the Post, "The guy got squashed between the pay loader and the truck."

Camarillo's cousin Lucero Ariza, 22, said, "His mother is devastated. The pain of a mother has no words. That was her only son," according to the Post.

The 18-year-old was unconscious when the EMT got to the scene and he died at Long Island College Hospital.

The NYPD was investigating the accident and so far no criminal action is suspected.

The federal agency Occupational Safety and Health Association is also investigating the accident. According to Inquisitr, OSHA compliance officer Robert Stewarts looked into the possibility of health or safety standards being violated.

According to the Post, his family said Camarillo had been working at the plant for three weeks. The accident occurred on Plymouth Street.
