Jodie Sweetin has full support from her Fuller House co-stars heading into the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars.

Sweetin, who plays Stephanie Tanner on Fuller House, is slated to compete in the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars. Sweetin is hoping to beat her co-star, Candace Cameron Bure, who came in third place in season 18.

The actress spoke with People this week about why she decided to participate in the new season.

"I think so many people know me as Stephanie and as that character, which is amazing and there's been incredible support for it," she said. "But now I get to show people who I am and also, I kind of get to find out stuff about myself."

Discussing her co-stars, including Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, Andrea Barber and Dave Coulier, she said that they are all "so excited" that she's going on this endeavor.

"They have known about this for a little while and they are just thrilled. They wanna come support me, they can't wait to be in the audience," Sweetin said. "They want to be there every week—Candace and Lori and Andrea and Dave—all of them are like, 'We're gonna be there cheering for you!' So it's great. I have a lot of love and a lot of really wonderful family support from them."

Considering Sweetin's name recognition and the buzz of Fuller House, she could really be a frontrunner—assuming she is a natural at ballroom dancing. She is paired with Keo Motsepe, who doesn't have a very good record from past seasons but it's possible that this could be his big season to shine.

Dancing With the Stars season 22 premieres Monday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
