Jessica Parido's new boyfriend doesn't appear to be the best catch.

Just months into their romance, Karlen "Chris" Shubaralyan, 37, of Sherman Oaks, Calif., is facing a number of shocking crimes, the latest of which was reported just last month.

"[Shubaralyan] is facing 10 felony counts in the domestic violence case, including one count each of forcible rape, stalking and first-degree burglary; two counts each of injuring a spouse and dissuading a witness; and three counts of making criminal threats," LA West Media reported weeks ago. "The criminal complaint includes allegations that Shubaralyan inflicted great bodily harm and that his ex-wife had a restraining order against him."

According to prosecutors, Shubaralyan began victimizing his ex-wife in 2014, and if he is convicted as charged, Shubaralyan will face more than 25 years in prison.

In addition to the charges listed above, Shubaralyan also has nine other pending felony charges against him, including grand theft and passing bad checks.

As of Feb. 29, Shubaralyam was being held without bail at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles.

Parido began dating Shubaralyan at the end of last year after filing for divorce from husband Mike Shouhed after less than one year of marriage.
