Jake Davidson could be the luckiest guy at his prom if his dream date says yes.

The high school student from Los Angeles uploaded a video onto YouTube on March 16, which now has over 20,000 views, asking 20-year-old model Kate Upton to be his prom date on May 23.

When the video starts, Davidson is sitting by a pool, casually reading the latest Sports Illustrated issue with Upton on the cover.

"You had me at hello. You are the ying to my yang," he says later, while shaving his face. He continues with, "I'm Jewish, 5'9 on a really good day - and I can't dance at all. You're Christian, 5'10, and that Cat Daddy video should have won an Oscar for best short film. You could say this is destiny."

In the next scene Davidson is doing push-ups and the camera is on his face and he says they have commonalities, which include Sports Illustrated: she has been on the cover and he is an avid reader.

During a shower scene Davidson says he doesn't have a girlfriend but isn't worried because he "sees the glass half full." The video transitions into him adjusting the cuffs on his shirt, as if he is ready to seal the deal on a business proposal.

"Kate, great moments are born from great opportunity. And that is what you have here today, a chance to make a guy's senior year the best ever," he said.

Afterward, a guy helps him put on his blazer and hands him red roses. Davidson kneels and asks Upton to go to prom with him.

Upton has yet to respond.
