A reason may have been revealed on why it didn't work out for Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner.

The two were reportedly seeing each other until calling it quits last month. And according to Tuesday's report from Hollywood Life, it was because the One Direction singer wasn't fulfilling the needs of the reality star. Apparently, she was ready for more this time, but there was only so much he could give her.

"Kendall wanted more than Harry could give," a source said. "It's basically what happened the first time around. She got her hopes up and when she discovered that there wasn't going to be a really committed relationship, she bolted. She didn't want to get burned again, so she got out before it got worse. Harry gave what he could, but it wasn't enough."

Even though it's a shame that it wasn't meant to be, it turns out that the feelings may have still been real.

"[Harry] doesn't want an ultra serious relationship like Kendall does. Funny this is that he really does like her, but he couldn't promise what she wanted," the source said. "At least Harry was honest and put his cards on the table."

There were previous rumors saying that Styles might be ready to get married after he was spotted inside a wedding venue, but given the circumstances, he's probably not quite there yet.
