Bring out the tissues, the finale date for Season 7 of The Good Wife has been announced by CBS.

Chris Noth Signs First Role After The Good Wife

The Good Wife will be bowing out for good on May 8, so fans can now arrange their viewing parties.

For fans who want to be ahead of the game and sendoff the show in style, they should attend the special panel discussion for the series at the Tribeca Film Festival this year on April 17, which will also feature a screening of the finale. The guests on the panel will include co-creators Robert and Michelle King and cast members Julianna Margulies, Cush Jumbo and Christine Baranski among others.

Could Hillary Clinton Guest Star In An Upcoming Episode?

Recently, International Business Times teased the possibility of reunions. But last month, in a recent conference with reporters, the showrunners addressed a much rumored possibility -- bringing back Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) or Will (Josh Charles), even if only as an aberration or flashback. TVLine reported from the interaction.

Turns out both baits won't be exploited for the mega finale, according to co-creator Michelle King.

"Kalinda went off deliberately to disappear - and we're honoring that choice. It wouldn't make sense for [Kalinda] to come back," Michelle said.

She also went onto rule out the return of Will Gardner.

"Alas, Will Gardner's dead - which is sort of problematic," she added.

Here's the official synopsis for the next episode of The Good Wife, entitled "Shoot":

"In a defamation suit over a billboard he put up describing a gun store owner as a murderer. Also, a romantic rendezvous between Alicia and Jason is interrupted when Alicia learns that Grace is being accused of plagiarizing her college entrance essay."

The episode will air on March 20.
