The movie adaptation of E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey continues to create buzz over who will ultimately don the role of Christian Grey.

One of the names that's recently popped up in chatter for the racy role of the S&M-crazed CEO is hunky actor Jessie Pavelka. Although he's mostly known as a model, Pavelka has made quite the splash since he started to grace the acting scene.

The chiseled 30-year-old made appearances on Lifetime's 12 Men of Christmas and NBC's Friday Night Lights, amongst other notable projects. While the thought of Pavelka gracing the big screen as Grey isn't exactly mainstream, several fans of the racy erotica have actually taken to Twitter to give the actor their blessing for the part.

"@E_L_James . have you found a Christian grey yet . I think that Jessie pavelka wud make a great Christian," @loopylynn02 wrote.

"Morning.. Sharing the Jessie Pavelka love. He is my Christian Grey," posted @BookWhorePage.

"World meet Jessie Pavelka aka Christian Grey all 50 shades of him!!" @CelticKim1 wrote.

Pavelka acknowledged the overwhelming support as well as the impact social media has had on the role.

"I think it's great and I'm extremely flattered. It's amazing how social media has changed the game in T.V. and Film," he said. "If this would have happened a few years back, I don't think that my name would be in the mix at all. I am lucky to be involved in the beginning stages of it all."

Screenwriter Kelly Marcel is in the midst of penning the Fifty Shades script and stated that the movie would be staying true to the book with lots of sex and raunchiness, as the producers are shooting for an NC-17 rating, according to a previous write-up in Style Magazine.

Although the producers have yet to attach a director to the franchise, the film is now slated for a big screen release in the summer of 2014.
