A Maze Runner: Death Cure mishap landed Teen Wolf's Dylan O'Brien in the hospital on Thursday.

O'Brien, who play's the trilogy's main character, fell from a set on St. Patrick's Day. His injuries appear to be confined to his face, but his broken bones have caused the Fox film to halt production.

Although TMZ originally reported that the 24-year-old actor was hit by a car when something went wrong during filming, Deadline has confirmed that O'Brien actually fell off what appeared to be the back of a train set while shooting a scene as Thomas. The site stated that O'Brien's exact injuries are unknown, but he allegedly broke either his cheekbone or orbital socket.

Fox released the following statement to Deadline on Friday:

"Dylan O'Brien was injured yesterday while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery."

O'Brien is well known for his breakout role as Teen Wolf's Stiles Stilinski, and members of both franchises took to Twitter to wish their castmate a quick recovery.

Maze Runner author James Dashner also commented on the incident, assuring fans that O'Brien's injuries were not life threatening.

It is currently unknown if the accident will push back Death Cure’s 2017 release date or if it will affect filming for season 6 of Teen Wolf. We hope Mr. O'Brien is back on his feet soon.
