Shiri Appleby Nude Photos Leaked After Appearing Topless on HBO 'Girls'; Full Frontal Pics a Publicity Stunt?
A nude photo of actress Shiri Appleby leaked online days after she appeared topless on an episode of HBO's series Girls.
Appleby, 34, who is pregnant and due later in March, wasn't pregnant in the photo, according to Daily Mail. She starred on the CW series Roswell.
The publication describes that Appleby is standing in front of a bath tub naked while biting her bottom lip and she is resting one hand on the sink and taking the photo with her other hand.
Because the photo leaked after her debut in an episode of Girls, created by Lena Dunham, the move has been looked at as a publicity stunt, according to the publication.
Appleby's character Natalia was the new girlfriend of Adam, Hannah's (Lena Dunham) ex-boyfriend. Appleby was in three episodes of the show, and in the second to last episode of the second season titled On All Fours, her breasts are seen during a controversial sex scene with Adam, played by Adam Driver.
Adam tells Natalia to "get on all fours" and crawl to his bed when they are in his apartment. But after the sex scene, Natalia looks disturbed and disgusted, and says "I don't think I liked that." Dunham explains that in the scene, Adam reverts back to his darker side.
Appleby got engaged to celebrity chef Jon Shook in August 2012.
