Priyanka Chopra will voice Kaa in The Jungle Book for Indian audiences, playing the Indian counterpart to Scarlett Johansson in the Hollywood version.

The actress revealed the first clip of her voicing Kaa in the Hindi version of the movie via Twitter. The actress also revealed how The Jungle Book was one of her favorite books growing up, expressing excitement at being part of the new film adaptation:

Chopra is joined by other famous Indian actors like Irrfan Khan, Nana Patekar, Om Puri and Shefali Shah, in the version of the movie being produced by Disney India.

Chopra's tweet was followed by the release of the Hindi trailer for the film.

The latest full-length trailer for the film was unveiled last month at the Super Bowl. The clip takes fans through the intense and deadly chases and the lighter moments and stuns with its VFX, seamlessly placing the human Mowgli (Neel Sethi) in the midst of all the animated characters. The trailer starts with the Shere Khan (Idris Elba) sniffing and inquiring about the odor of a human around the watering hole in the jungle where many of the animals are, adding that "man is forbidden." After that ensues an intense chase scene, where Shere Khan tries to get to Mowgli but he manages to escape. The clip also reveals lighter moments shared amongst Mowgli, Baloo (Bill Murray) and Bagheera (Ben Kingsley). Scarlett Johansson's Kaa also makes an appearance in the trailer as Mowgli gets lost deep in the jungle.

The movie has been directed by Jon Favreau and also stars Lupita Nyongo as Raksha, Giancarlo Esposito as Akela, Christopher Walken as King Louie, and Emjay Anthony as Grey Brother.

The film will release on April 15, 2016.
